Web Usability Probe

Web Usability Probe (WUP) is a tool that allows usability experts to easily set up and perform remote usability evaluations of web interfaces. It allows the evaluation of every kind of existing website by using an explicit web proxy that injects a javascript logger inside every web page. This approach makes the tool independent from plugin installation or specific client configuration, allowing users to participate in evaluations from every desktop or mobile devices equipped with a modern web browser.

The logger keeps track of every event generated by the interaction of the user with the page. All the logged data are sent asynchronously to the usability server. The evaluator can access the logged data, that are displayed in form of highly configurable timelines, and identify usability issues by comparing each user timeline with the timeline related to an optimal session recorded by the evaluator itself.
