Via G. Moruzzi, 1
56010 Ghezzano Pisa - Italy

ISTI is a public research Institute of the Italian National Research Council working in the computer science area.

The Human-Computer Interaction Group at ISTI-C.N.R. has an extensive experience in international and national projects related to HCI topics. It has been the coordinator partner of the MEFISTO Long Term Esprit (24963) project (where integration of usability and safety in Air Traffic Control is considered) and one of the main partners of the GUITARE R&D Esprit project (where a set of tools for the generation of user interfaces from task models in ERP applications is being developed). It is the coordinator of a new IST project (CAMELEON) on model-based design of context-dependent applications, currently under negotiation. The group has also been working on adaptive web interfaces for museum applications. Current research interests include Methods and Tools for User Interface Design, Usability Evaluation, User Interfaces for Mobile Systems, and Visual modelling techniques.
